The contrast study of curative effect between C3-C7 and C3-C6 expansive open-door cervical laminoplasty

Abstract:Objective To discuss the curative effect between C3-C7 and C3-C6 expansive open-door cervical laminoplasty.Methods The clinical data of 41 patients treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from June of 2013 to February of 2015 were analyzed retrospectively, who underwent C3-C6 (group A 19 patients) and C3-C7 (group B 22 patients) expansive open-door cervical laminoplasty.The operative time, intraoperative bleeding volume, the JOA score before and after the operation, the cervical vertebra activity before and after the operation, the rate of axial pain after the operation were compared.Results There was no significant difference in the amount of blood loss and the operative time between two groups(P>0.05).After 12 months of follow-up, the JOA improvement rate, cervical vertebra activity and the incidence of axial pain showed no difference between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The curative effect between C3-C7 and C3-C6 expansive open-door cervical laminoplasty have no significant difference.
