Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of enteral nutrition on the serum level of IL -17 and CRP in patients with Crohn’s disease. Methods Thirty-two patients with active Crohn’s disease were given enteral nutrition for 2 weeks.Peripher-al blood samples were collected to detect serum levels of IL -17 and CRP by enzyme -linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) 1 day before treatment and after 2-week enteral nutrition therapy. Results The levels of IL-17 and CRP before and after the 2-week enteral nutrition therapy were (17.25 ±2.14)pg/ml,(18.16 ±5.25)mg/L and (10.38 ±1.27)pg/ml,(11.35 ± 6.70)mg/L,and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Enteral nutrition therapy may lower the serum level of IL-17 and CRP in patients with Crohn’s disease.
