The clinical effects analysis of transnasal endoscopic repair of cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea

Abstract:Objective To research the clinical effects of transnasal endoscopic repair of cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea (CFR).Methods The clinical data of 54 patients with CFR treated with intranasal endoscopic surgery from 201 1 to 2014 were retrospectively analyzed.Results After craniotomy for resection of pituitary adenoma and CFR repair in neurosurgery,2 patients relapsed.After surgery in other hospital,2 patients relapsed.They were all repaired again successfully.The other 50 patients were repaired successfully once.The patients were followed up for 6 to 36 months and no recurrence was observed.Conclusion Transnasal endoscopic surgery should be the first choice for repairing of CFR for its high successful rate and low complication.
