Abstract: Objective To study the application effects of pars plana vitrectomy assisted by anti - vascular endothelial growth factor in the treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy( PDR). Methods 60 patients(60 eyes)with PDR treated in the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January of 2015 to December of 2015 were selected. Thirty cases(30 eyes)were treated with PPV(control group),and thirty cases(30 eyes)were treated with PPV assisted by Anti - VEGF(observation group). The clinical effects were compared between observation group and control group. Results There was no significant difference in intraocular pressure level between observation group and control group 1 month after treatment. The intraocular pressure level 1,7 days after treatment in observation group was lower than control group. The rate of visual improvement in observation group(96. 7%)was higher than control group(83. 3%),and the difference was statistically significant(P <0. 05). The incidence of postoperative complications in observation group was lower than control group(P <0. 05). Conclusion Efficacy of pars plana vitrectomy assisted by anti - vascular endothelial growth factor in the treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy is ideal and worthy of popularization and application.
