The difference between various types of ACoAA with the dominance of ACA A1 segment

Abstract：Objective To explore the difference between different types of anterior communicating artery aneurysm(ACoAA) with the dominance of ACA A1 segment. Methods The CTA images of 35 cases of ACoAA were analyzed retrospectively,classi-fied to different types according to shape,major axis and direction of aneurysm. All the results were recorded and compared with dominance of ACA A1 segment. Results 35 ACoAA and 4 unilateral internal carotid artery C1 segment aneurysms were diag-nosed by CTA. 23 cases dominance of ACA A1 segment were found,and the left one was more than the right(P < 0. 05). The major axis on 5 ~ 8 mm,and direction on anteriosuperior were more with dominance of ACA A1 segment( P > 0. 05). Conclusion It’s critical to choose treatment plan and operative approach according to different types of ACoAA by CTA,which is also different to the dominance of ACA A1 segment.
