Abstract:Objective To study the correlation between serum neutrophil gelatinase - associated lipocalin(NGAL)lever and SYNTAX score in non - ST - segment elevation acute coronary syndrome(NSTE - ACS)patients. Methods Ninety - six chest pain patients who underwent coronary ateriography(CAG)were divided into control group with coronary narrowings < 50% in di-ameter(n = 24)and NSTE - ACS group(n = 72),NSTE - ACS group were divided into low score group(0 ~ 22 SYNTAX scores,n = 21),middle score group(22 ~ 32 SYNTAX scores,n = 35)and high score group( > 32 SYNTAX scores,n = 16) according to the standard of SYNTAX score. Serum NGAL levers were measured before CAG. Serum NGAL levels were com-pared,and correlation analysis was proceed between plasma NGAL levels and SYNTAX score in NSTE - ACS group. Results The serum NGAL levels were significantly higher in middle score group and high score group than control group(P <0. 05). It was also significantly higher in high score group than in low score group(P < 0. 05). Serum NGAL levels and SYN-TAX scores were positively correlated(r = 0. 113,P < 0. 05). Conclusion Serum NGAL lever is closed associated with the SYNTAX score and NSTE - ACS exacerbates with the elevated NGAL level.
