Analysis of the types of respiratory infection and the distribution of pathogens in preschool children

Abstract：Objective To analyze the types of respiratory infection and the distribution of pathogens in preschool children. Methods 400 preschool children with respiratory infection in Tangxia Hospital of Dongguan City from March of 201 4 to March of 201 5 were selected.Multiplex RT -PCR method was used to detect nasopharyngeal secretion,then the results were analyzed.Re-sults In 400 preschool children with respiratory infection,there were 1 23 cases of pneumonia,89 cases of bronchial asthma, 1 47 cases of upper respiratory tract infection,41 cases of other diseases.The positive rate of respiratory virus was 80.25%,in-cluding respiratory syncytial virus (1 6.25%),rhinovirus (1 9.00%),influenza virus (20.50%),adenovirus (1 4.75%)and Coxsackie virus (9.75%).Conclusion The main types of respiratory infection of preschool children were pneumonia,bronchial asthma,upper respiratory tract infection,other diseases.The positive rate of respiratory virus is higher,including respiratory syncytial virus,rhinovirus,influenza virus,adenovirus and Coxsackie virus.
