Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of conventional thoracotomy and thoracoscopic surgery in early thy-moma.Methods 46 patients with early thymoma treated in the First People’s Hospital of Shangqiu from April of 2012 to April of 2015 were selected and divided into conventional thoracotomy group and thoracoscopic surgery group,23 cases in each group. the clinical efficacy and complicaitons were compared. Results Compared with conventional thoracotomy group, operative time, postoperative chest drainage tube indwelling time and length of stay in thoracoscopic surgery group were shorter, and the intraop-erative blood loss, postoperative drainage volumes were smaller, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The complication rate of thoracoscopic surgery group was lower than the other group (P <0.05).Conclusion Thoracoscopic surgery had some advantages in the treatment of early thymoma, such as small trauma, fewer complications, faster postoperative recovery and other advantages. It was a safe and feasible method.
