Analysis of the clinical efficacy of orthodontics - periodontal surgery - repair combination therapy in the preservation of residual roots

Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of orthodontics - periodontal surgery - repair combination therapy in the preservation of residual roots. Methods 68 patients with residual roots treated in Nanyang Stomatological Hospital from April of 2013 to April of 2015 were selected and randomly divided into control group and research group. The control group was treated with conventional repair of residual tooth crown,and the research group was treated with orthodontics - periodontal surgery - re-pair. The clinical efficacy was compared between two groups. Results The total effective rates of research group and control group were 94. 1% and 73. 5% respectively. The total effective rate of research group was higher than control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P ﹤ 0. 05). Conclusion Orthodontics - periodontal surgery - repair combination therapy had good efficacy in the preservation of residual roots.
