Expression and clinical significance of casein kinase 2βin gastric carcinoma

Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of casein kinase 2β(CK2β)in gastric carcino-ma (GC).Methods The expression of CK2βin 94 cases of GC tissues was detected using immunohistochemistry(SABC moth-od)and the clinical and pathological features of the expression of CK2βin GC were analyzed.Results A positive expression of CK2βwas found in 92.6% (87 /94)of the GC tissues while 8.51 % (7 /94)of the normal mucosal tissues were positive expression for CK2β,showing a significant difference in the distribution of CK2βbetween normal and GC tissues (P <0.05).The expression level of CK2βin GC was associated with the pathological stage (TNM)(P =0.012),degree of tumor differentiation (P =0.036) and nodal metastasis(P =0.023).Conclusion ①The expression levels of CK2βin human GC tissues were significantly higher than in adjacent tissues,and the expression was closely related with clinicopathological features in GC;②CK2βwas a potential therapeutic target molecule and therapeutic marker.
