Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between neutrophil -to -lymphocyte ratio and clinicopathological charac-teristics of patients with prostatic cancer and the prognostic value. Methods The clinicopathological data of 60 patients with prostate cancer treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January of 201 2 to December of 201 3 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into high NLR (NLR≥3,n =30)group and low NLR(NLR <3,n =30) group. The median survival time between the two groups were compared. Results The differences of TNM staging, degree of differentiation and Gleason scores between the two groups were statistically significant(P <0.05).The median survival time of high NLR group and low NLR group were 1 8 and 25 months respectively, the difference was statistical significant (P <0.05). Conclusion NLR was related to Gleason scores,TNMstaging and degree of differentiation of patients with prostatic cancer. It may be an effective index to evaluate the prognosis of patients with prostate cancer.
