Logistic regression analysis of relevant factors on the prognosis of sudden deafness

Abstract：Objective To investigate the relevant factors on the prognosis of sudden deafness.Methods The clinical data of 89 patients with sudden deafness were analyzed retrospectively.The factors may be associated with the prognosis of sudden deaf-ness such as gender,age,the time from onset to treatment,complicated by hypertension,diabetes,vertigo or not,the type and grade of hearing impairment were observed and analysed.Results The patients who got the better prognosis were those with shorter time from onset to treatment,lighter degree of hearing damage,the ascending curve hearing type and those who were not complicated by dizziness.Conclusion The prognosis of sudden deafness should be analysed according to the time from onset to treatment,complicated by vertigo or not,and the type and grade of hearing impairment,it is necessary to achieve early detection and early treatment.
