Effects of bromocriptine in assisted reproductive therapies of infertility patients with refractory polycystic ovarian syndrome

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of bromocriptine in assisted reproductive therapies of infertility patients with refractory polycystic ovarian syndrome.Methods 76 patients with infertility patients with refractory polycystic ovarian syndrome treated in Puyang Maternity and Children Health Hospital were randomly divided into 2 groups.The study group (38 cases)were treated with ovulation induction combined with oral bromocriptine,1 .25 mg per day,while the control group(38 cases)were treated with only ovulation induction.The assisted reproductive effects of two groups were compared.Results The number of mature follicle,endometrial thickness and the pregnancy rate of the study group were significantly higher than control group(P <0.05).Conclusion For infertility patients with refractory polycystic ovarian syndrome,small doses of bromocriptine could con-tribute to the development of follicle,improve endometrial receptivity and pregnancy rate,reduce the abortion rate.
