The effect of implementing clinical nursing path in elderly patients with diabetes

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of the implementation of clinical nursing pathway( CNP)in elderly patients with diabetes. Methods 280 cases of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into tradition group(n=136)and clinical nursing pathway group(n=144),The length of hospital stay,incidence of complications and patient satisfaction were ob-served,the score of quality of life and patient compliance were investigated after one year later. Results The length of hospital stay,incidence of complications,patient satisfaction,the score of quality of life,the patient compliance were significant difference compared with observation group’s(P﹤0. 05). Conclusion Implementation of clinical nursing path can signif-icantly improve the satisfaction and quality of life in elderly patients with diabetes,reduce hospitalization time and the inci-dence of complications.
