Efficacy of chemotherapy through different routes in the treatment of patients with advanced gastric cancer

Abstract:Objective To observe the efficacy of chemotherapy through different routes in the treatment of patients with ad-vanced gastric cancer.Methods 64 patients with advanced gastric cancer in the Third People’s Hospital of Luoyang from De-cember of 201 2 to June of 201 4 were choosed and divided into group A and B,32 cases in each group.Group A were given se-lective arterial infusion chemotherapy,and group B were given systemic intravenous chemotherapy.2 cycles of chemotherapy were completed.The clinical efficacy,adverse reaction,quality of life of two groups after treatment were compared.Results After treatment,the clinical effective rate was 78.1 3% in group A,obviously higher than that in group B (62.50%).The adverse reac-tions,quality of life in Group A were both superior than group B,the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclu-sion The clinical efficacy of selective arterial infusion chemotherapy in treatment of adversed gastric cancer was good with less ad-verse reactions,and the operation was simple,safe,easy to be accepted by patients.It deserves the clinical expansion.
