Efficacy of ethinylestradiol and cyproterone combined with metqormin in the treatment of patients with obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome

Abstract：Objective To study the efficacy of ethinylestradiol and cyproterone combined with metqormin in the treatment of pa-tients with obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome.Methods 80 patients with obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome treated from March of 2013 to March of 2014 in Zhongshan Boai Hospital were selected and randomly divided into two groups,40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with ethinylestradiol and cyproterone and observation group was treated with ethinylestradiol and cyproterone combined with metqormin.Results Before treatment,BIM,FIN,IR,T,FSH,LH and E2 of two groups were not different (P >0.05).After treatment,FIN,IR,T,FSH,LH and E2 of observation group were lower than those of control group (P <0.05).Con-clusion For patients with obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome,ethinylestradiol and cyproterone combined with metqormin has an ob-vious efficacy and could efficiently adjust the secretion of ovarian hormone.It is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
