Application value of continuous blood purification in the treatment of patients with severe sepsis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the application value of continuous blood purification in the treatment of patients with severe sepsis.Methods 58 patients with severe sepsis from January of 2012 to December of 2013 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group,29 cases in each.The control group was given conventional treatment,and ob-servation group was given continuous blood purification treatment in addition.The curative effect on the 7th day after treatment were compared between two groups.Results The levels of serum urea nitrogen,creatinine,sodium,chloride,potassium in ob-servation group were superior to control group,and the levels of interleukin 6 and tumor necrosis factor were lower than the con-trol group.Blood pressure,breathing rate,heart rate monitoring value in observation group were better,mortality rate was lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with severe sepsis,continuous blood purification method could effectively reduce the release of inflammatory cytokine,correct electro-lyte disorder,promote the recovery of organ function,reduce mortality.
