A clinical analysis of 221 children with oral mucosa diseases

Abstract：Objective To investigate the characteristic and regularity of pathogenesis of oral mucosa diseases in children in Henan province so as to provide a reference for the diagnosis and prevention.Methods 221 first -visit children with oral muco-sa diseases were enrolled in this study from Oral Medicine Clinics in Zhengzhou University.The clinical datas were collected to analyze the entity of these diseases,chief complaint,the constituent ratio of gender and so on.Results A total of thirteen spe-cies of oral mucosa diseases were obtained,of which herpes simplex was the first,followed by recurrent aphthous ulcer,candidal stomatitis,geographic glossitis and traumatic ulceration.The chief complaints were ulcer(50.42%),pain(28.05%),swelling (11.31%),color changing (4.52%)and others(7.69%).Conclusion The infectious diseases were the main type of oral mucosa diseases in children,and the onset age had some regularity.Early correct diagnosis will be crucial to the prognosis.
