Application of linear cutting stapler in preventive double -cavity stoma reversion of rectal cancer

Abstract：Objective To explore the application value of linear cutting stapler in preventive double -cavity stoma reversion of rectal cancer.Methods A total of 68 patients with rectal cancer received low anterior resection in Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Zhengzhou University from July of 2012 to October of 2014 were selected,including 28 cases using the linear cutting stapler as observation group and 40 cases using handding anastomosis as control group.The operation time,intestinal function recovery time,rates of intestinal obstruction and incision infection were compared between two groups.Results The operation time and intestinal function recovery time were shorter,rate of intestinal obstruction was lower in observation group than control group (P <0.05).There was no difference in the rate of incision infection were lower between two groups (P >0.05).Conclusion Using linear cutting stapler in preventive double -cavity stoma reversion of rectal cancer could effectively shorten the operation time,be beneficial to the recovery of intestinal function,reduce the incidence of intestinal obstruction.
