Observation on efficacy of tiotropium inhalation on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of tiotropium inhalation on patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods 60 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD in the First People’s Hospital of Shangqiu were selected and randomly divided into two groups.The control group(n =30)received conventional therapy.The ob-servation group (n =30)received tiotropium inhalation on the basis of conventional therapy.The changes of clinical symptom, physicak sign and pulmonary function were recorded.Results The effective rate of observation group was higher and the lung function was better than control group ,the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion Tiotropium inha-lation could improve the clinical symptom,pulmonary function and life quality of the patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.It deserves the clinical expansion.
