Abstract:Objective To study the expression and significance of mTOR and eIF4E in primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Methods Immunohistochemical method (SP method)was used to analyze the expression of mTOR and eIF4E in pri-mary HCC.The images of the experimental results were analyzed by Biosens Digital Imaging System (version 1.6).The immuo-histochemical staining intensity was transformed into average density for quantitative analysis.Medical statistics was used to ana-lyze the relevance between mTOR and eIF4E.Results The expression of both the mTOR and eIF4E corresponded non -tumor normal tissues <para -carcinoma tissues <hepatocellular carcinoma, and the differences between each group were statistical sig-nificance (P <0.05).The expression of the mTOR and eIF4E showed positive correlation (P <0.05).Conclusion The ab-normal expression of mTOR and eIF4E may be associated with the occurrence and development of primary HCC,and played a synergistic role in the proliferation and invasion of hepatoma cells and participated in the invasive growth of primary liver cancer.
