Evidence -based medicine study on treatment of peri -implantitis with minocycline

Abstract：Objective To determine the effectiveness of minocycline on peri -implantitis reported by articles and to assess the quality of the studies by evidence -based medicine.Methods The data bases such as CNK,wanfangdata,VIP,Web of Science,MEDLINE,Science Direct,Springer Link published were searched.Collect all published literatures about the treatment of peri -implantitis with minocycline.Literatures were screening and the data were extracted in accordance with inclusion crite-ria.Analyze literature based on evidence -based medicine.Results There were totally 1 3 articles that met the criteria.Ran-domized Controlled trials(RCT)was in a small number.Meta -analysis could not be done.The results showed that:for now, the treatment of peri -implantitis with minocycline had a good effect.Conclusion The quantity and quality of the research liter-ature on the treatment of peri -implantitis with minocycline can not meet the clinical needs.Further trials of high quality need to be undertaken in order to provide the best evidence for treatment of peri -implantitis.
