Abstract:Objective To discuss the expression and clinical significance of mTOR and Survivin in human cerebral glioma. Methods The expression of mTOR and Survivin in 35 glioma tissue samples,36 advanced glioma tissue samples, and 1 0 nor-mal brain tissue samples were detected by the semi -quantitative immunohistochemistry(Envision method). The expression and correlation between mTOR and Survivin were analyzed. Results The expression levels of mTOR and Survivin in human cerebral glioma tissue samples were significantly higher than normal cerebral tissue samples. The expression rates of mTOR and Survivin in advanced glioma tissue samples were significantly higher than mild and moderate glioma tissue samples. There was a positive correlation between mTOR and Survivin expressions in human glioma(r =0.264,P =0.026 <0.05).Conclusion The expres-sion of mTOR and Survivin were significantly increased in human cerebral glioma.mTOR and Survivin may play an important role in the occurrence and development of gliomas.
