Expression and clinical significance of ALDH1 and ABCG2 in human renal clear cell carcinoma

Abstract：Objective To detect the expression of ALDH1 and ABCG2 in human renal cell carcinoma(RCCC)and investi-gate the correlation and the relationship with clinicopathological features.Methods The expressions of ALDH1 and ABCG2 in 78 cases of RCCC tissues and 30 cases of adjacent normal tissues were detected by immunohistochemical staining.The correlations between ALDH1,ABCG2 and clinicopathological features were analyzed.Results The expressions of ALDH1 and ABCG2 in RCCC tissues were significantly higher than normal renal tissues (P <0.05),positive expressions of ALDH1 and ABCG2 in RC-CC showed significant correlation with tumor grade,clinical stage and lymph -node metastasis (P <0.05),but have no signifi-cant correlation with gender,age and tumor diameter (P >0.05).Conclusion The expressions of ALDH1,ABCG2 may play important roles in the development of RCCC.
