Influence of astragalus injection on platelet parameters and oxi-dative stress indices of elderly patients with hypertension

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the influence of astragalus injection on platelet parameters and oxidative stress indices of elderly patients with hypertension .Methods:70 patients with hyperten-sion in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected and divided into control group and observation group , 35 cases in each .The control group was given conventional treat-ment, the observation group was given astragalus injection on the basis of conventional treatment . The platelet parameters and oxidative stress indices ( NO, SOD, NOS, MDA) of two groups were analyzed .Results:①After 2 weeks of treatment , the levels of PDW, MPV, PLCR, PCT in obser-vation group were significantly lower than control group ( P<0 .05 ) .②After 2 weeks of treat-ment, the levels of NO, NOS and SOD in observation group were significantly higher than control group, while the level of MDA was significantly lower than control group (P<0.05).Conclu-sion:Astragalus injection could improve the levels of platelet parameters and oxidative stress indi-ces of elderly patients with hypertension , which is beneficial to improve the body's comprehensive state.It deserves the clinical expansion .
