Abstract：Objective：To investigate the causes of placenta praevia, the timing and methods of stopping pregnancy and measures of stopping blee ding.Methods：Retrospective analysis of 93 patients with placenta praevia.Results：Eighty-seven cases were multi-pregnancies amounting to 93.5%, of them 54 experienced multi-parturitious(58.1%).Patients with placenta praevia had the close relation with multi-pregnancies， artifical and induced abortions.Eighty-seven(93.5%) were caesarean section.Conclusion：Findings suggest that caesarean section is the best way to stop pregnancy in placenta praevia, Timely stopping pregnancy should be used at the 37th week in waiting treatment, the patients with heavy bleeding should be treated immediatly during the process of waiting treatment. In addition, various measures to stop bleeding should be taken in caesarean section in placent a praevia, to avoid hysterectomy and lower the injury to patients.
