The compared study of intrahepatic vessel invasion of hepatocellular carcinoma with dynamic scan of spiral CT
Abstract:Objective:To further recognize the invasive features of intrahepatic vessels of hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods:Seventy-five cases of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with the invasion of intrahepatic vessels were included.Twenty-six cases were d esigned prospectively single-level dynamic scanning at the target level both tumor and portal vein could been observed in arterial phase (AP),then followed by portal venous phase (PVP).Some features of intrahepatic vessel invasion were com pared with that of 31 cases of dual phase and 18 cases of pure PVP scanning.Results:Single-level scans at AP were superior to dual phase scan in the appearances of arterioportal shunting and the early display of porta l vein. The caharacteristics of large vessel invasion could be seen well in AP,bu t not well in pure PVP.The total intension rate of malignant thrombus was 66.6%( 38/57 cases) in the period of AP.Conclusion: Single-level progr ams were good at displaying the abnormal kinetics of blood flow and A-P shuntin g, and were useful to determine the nature of thromboses.
