Abstract:Objective: To explore the effects of phosphalipase C in the development of cardiac hypertrophy in hypertension. Methods: The animal model of renal hypertension was made by two-kidney,one clip, the animals with non-operation as the sham group. The blood pressure, the ratio of left ventricular weight to body weight, the activities of ACE and PLC in heart were measured at 1,2,4,8 weeks at operation and control group.Treatment with captopril at 4 week after operation, the blood pressure, the ratio of left ventricular weight to body weight, the activities of ACE and PLC in heart were measured at 8 week. Results: In 2KIC group, the blood pressure and cardiac hypertrophy significantly increased verus sham group between 2 to 8 weeks. The activities of ACE were increased significantly at 2,4,8 weeks in 2KIC groups. The activities of PLC were increased by 64.65%(P<0.05),81.53%(P<0.05),97.22%(P<0.01) at 2,4,8 weeks in 2KIC group.Treatment with captopril, the blood pressure, the cardiac hypertrophy parameter, the activities of ACE and PLC returned to the levels of sham group. Conclusion: The activity of PLC is increased in hypertrophic cardium, the results suggest that the course of cardiac hypertrophy is characterized by the participation of the AngⅡ via PLC.
