Abstract:Based on the sounding data of Hubei Province from 2017 to 2021 and combined with the air quality monitoring data, four types of multi-layer inversion characteristics and their influence on the concentrations of primary air pollutants in Hubei Province are analyzed. It has been found that:(1)Multi-layer inversion occurs frequently in Hubei Province with frequency reaching 71.12%,which is much higher than that of single-layer inversion.(2)The inversion frequency and thickness at 08:00 are greater than at 20:00,and the 20:00 inversion intensity is greater than that at 08:00.(3)The monthly variation curves of total frequency, thickness and intensity all present a 'V' shape. The decreasing rate from January to July is smaller than the increasing rate from August to December.(4)The type Ⅳ inversion(SI+EI+LTI)has the most obvious effect on the growth of particulate matter, while the inhibitory effect of type Ⅲ inversion(EI+LTI)on O3 is the most obvious.(5)The particle concentration is positively correlated to the thickness and intensity, and the correlation at 08:00 is more obvious.O3 is negatively correlated to the thickness and intensity of inversion layer, and the correlation at 20:00 is more obvious.
