Abstract:In order to clearly describe the water consumption characteristics in production of winter wheat,in this paper, based on water footprint theory and quantitative methods, the characteristics of Henan wheat production water footprint were analyzed, factors causing water footprint regional differences were attribution analyzed. The results show that:the spatial distribution of wheat water footprint are significantly different, which are higher in west, central, south and north Henan, and low in east Henan regions. In south Henan green water footprint is the highest proportion of production 34.5%,the lowest in northern 13.6%,showing the from south to north decreasing spatial distribution pattern. The attribution analysis shows that fertilizers, farm power, rainfall and average temperature are the main factors influencing the distribution of wheat water footprint;and agricultural production factors on water footprint is larger than the meteorological factors. Therefore, improving the efficiency of agricultural production and utilization efficiency of agricultural water is significant to rational allocation and efficient utilization of water resources in Henan province.
