Application of Wind Profiler Radar Data to Snowstorm Process
Abstract：Studying on the wind profiler data, a snowstorm process is analyzed happened in Huzhou city on December 15, 2010. Wind profiler radar wind data can clearly show the changes of wind field during the blizzard, and learn more about the stratification structure of the blizzard by analyzing distribu-tion of high and low variation of cold and warm advection. The changes of the vertical velocity, refractive index structure constant, detecting altitude detected by wind profiler can reflect the snow beginning, end-ing and intensity of snowfall, and provide the conditions for the fine prediction.
