Effects of Post-anthesis Waterlogging on Flag Leaf Photosynthetic Characteristics in two Winter Wheat Varieties
Abstract:Selecting wheat varieties of Jimai 20 tosynthetic and mesophyll cell characteristics in flag d, 6 d, 9 d and 12 d form anthesis and filling stage and Tainong18, the paper studied post-anthesis pho- leaves under eight treatments. The treatments are 3 The results showed that waterlogging all had signifi-cant negative effects on photosynthetic rate of flag leave during treatments. Photosynthetic performance re- stored after flooded. Waterlogging before filling stage improved photosynthetic characteristics in flag leav- es during the mid-filling stage, but then the photosynthetic characteristics decreased rapidly. In addition to the flooded 3 d, others treatments all caused grain yield reduced. The decline of yield resulted from the reduction of kernel number much than that of thousand seed weight.
