Abstract:The sunflower cultivar LD3939 was used as material, sunflower seeds were primed 0,4,8,12,18,24,36,48 h and with 0,50,100,150,200,250,300 mmol/L NaC1,the effect of seed priming on sunflower seed and seedling salt-tolerance was studied,so as to provide some academic bases for applied seed priming in sunflower production. The results showed that compared with unprimed seeds under the salt stress, primed seeds had higher rates of emergence and seedling survival, shorter emergence time, lower the membrane integrity and MDA content, higher content of photosynthetic pigment and proline. When the sunflower seedling primed 12 h or primed with 150 mmol/L NaCl,the proline contents were the highest with 9.966 μg/g and 11.587 μg/g;emergence times were the shortest with 3.20 d and 3.31 d,which shortened 0.85 d and 0.63 d compared to unprimed seeds;emergence percentages and seedling survival percentages reached maximum, were 100%,93.10% and 100%,93.10%,followed by 100 mmol/L NaCl treatment. When the sunflower seedling primed 12 h or primed with 100 mmol/L NaCl,the contents of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,total chlorophyll, and photosynthetic pigment reached maximum, increased by 28.47%,63.92%,31.45%,29.43% and 54.13%,64.11%,56.85%,54.92% compared with unprimed seeds;the membrane integrity and MDA content reached minimum, decreased by 28.21%,21.94% and 33.39%,29.96% compared with unprimed seeds.Overall, the sunflower seedling primed 12 h under 150 mmol/L NaCl was better.
