Progress on Interaction between Potyviruses-coded Proteins and Chloroplast Proteins of Host Plants

Abstract：Chloroplast is an important place for photosynthesis of plants,and it is also a common target attacked by many plant viruses.It plays an important role in viral infection of plants.On the one hand,the virus can commandeer compartment and contents of chloroplasts or even destroy chloroplasts for achieving infection and propagation,and on the other hand,chloroplasts and their constituents are actively involved in the defense response of plants to viruses.The effects of potyviruses infection on the chloroplast were summarized,and the roles of chloroplast proteins in the process of infection by potyviruses were particularly analyzed from the perspective of protein interaction,to provide references for further understanding the reasons of symptom production,and clarifying the mechanisms of virus infection and plant defense.
