Abstract:In order to study the effect of irrigation water on the chlorine content of flue-cured tobacco,we compared the effect of different amount of irrigation water on the chlorine content and accumulation of two flue-cured tobacco varieties by using pot experiment and irrigation water with high chlorine(90.25 mg/L).The results showed that the content and accumulation of chlorine in two varieties were all shown as leaf >stem > root. The chlorine accumulation in leaves accounted for 57.33%-75.61% of the total chlorine accumulation. The chlorine content of leaf decreased with growth of the leaves and it was highest in vigorous growth stage and was lowest in the mature period. The chlorine content and accumulation of leaves increased with the increase of irrigation amount. The chlorine content and accumulation of leaves of Yuyan 13 were lower than that of Zhongyan 100.The proportion of chlorine accumulation in the leaves of Yuyan 13 was lower than that of Zhongyan 100.The chlorine content of tobacco leaf was significantly affected by the chlorine content of irrigation water in the vigorous stage. The greater the amount of irrigation, the higher chlorine content of tobacco leaves.Compared with Zhongyan 100,the chlorine content of Yuyan 13 was lower due to the less absorption of chlorine.
