Abstract：The culture of tea plant in vitro plays an important role in breeding,germplasm innovation,sustainable development of tea industry.This paper summarized the research progresses on culture types of axillary buds,stem-segment,seed,anther,leaf and callus of tea plant in vitro,and reviewed the application of tea plant culture in vitro in rapid propagation,embryos induction,germplasm reserve,and secondary metabolites production.The prospects in tissue culture of tea plant were also briefly discussed,so as to provide references for the research of tea plant breeding and biotechnology.
