Application of Transcriptome Sequencing Technology in Genetic Breeding of Livestock

Abstract：The transcriptome sequencing technology was used to reveal the molecular regulation mechanism of biological processes by analyzing the variety of total transcripts' category,structure and the expression level for certain type of tissues or cells in different species,breeds,developmental stage or physiological condition.Recently,transcriptome sequencing technology was widely used to screen the target genes related to economic traits,to provide basic data for molecular breeding in livestock.In this article,combined with the principle and technical characteristics of transcriptome sequencing technology,its research progressin livestock's growing development,meat,milk,hair,and so on were summarized,to provide reference for further researches.
