Research Progress on Phloem Unloading Pathway of Plant Photoassimilate

Abstract：Phloem unloading contains a series of continuous processes and plays an important role in the transport and distribution of plant photoassimilate. This paper reviewed the pathway of phloem unloading of plant photoassimilate ( symplast pathway, apoplast pathway and the alternation and conversion of the two pathways),discussed the corresponding mechanism and regulation and control methods,introduced common research approaches for unloading,and finally pointed out some problems facing this research area.
