Abstract:The effects of different organic matter levels and C/N ratio on growth, yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco were investigated by applying organic manures independently researched. Results showed that leaf number, yield and quality of tobacco increased overall when organic matter levels were 50% and 65% compared with CK ( applying tobacco special fertilizer ) , and tobacco smoking quality in general improved after the roast. Yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco at 35% of organic matter were lower than CK. The leaf development and dry matter accumulation speeded up,and the nicotine content of upper leaf decreased with the increase of organic matter content. The smoking quality as well as ratio of sugar and nicotine of middle leaf increased with the increase of C/N ratio at the same level of organic matter. Therefore, the treatment at 65% of organic matter and 19. 54 of C/N ratio advantaged the growth and improved quality of flue-cured tobacco in water field.
