Research Progress on VP2 Protein and Vaccine of Infectious Bursal Disease Virus

Abstract：Infectious bursal disease virus ( IBDV) is a pathogen causing chicken infectious bursa disease (IBD). Due to the variation of IBDV strains and the prevalence of super virus in recent years,IBD be-come a serious disease that may threat to the development of the world chicken industry. The traditional vaccine is unable to resist the prevalence of IBD,and new IBD vaccine is urgently needed to control the spread of IBDV. As an important structural protein of IBDV,VP2 protein is used to prepare recombinant vaccine. It is an investigative hot spot for home and abroad experts. In this overview,the IBDV VP2 pro-tein function and the research progress of using VP2 protein to prepare vaccine in different expression sys-tem were summarized,so as to provide reference for the development of new IBDV vaccines.
