Abstract:The effects of sowing date on growth period, yield and its component were studied with the hy-brid rice of Yliangyou No. 1,Yangliangyou No. 6,and Yliangyou No. 2 as experiment materials in south Henan. The results showed that the periods of jointing, heading and maturity of different varieties rice were correspondingly delayed, and whole growth period showed a significant decreasing trend along with the de-laying of seeding date. If the sowing date was delayed 5 days and the whole growth periods shortened 2. 8 days. With the seeding date delaying, the yield component were all declined, and yield ecreased signifi-cantly,but decreased amplitude of different varieties were different. The influence order of sowing date was grains per panicle >seed setting rate >panicle number >1 000-grain weight. The correlation analysis showed that there was significant relationship betwwen sowing date and yield and its components. The yield potential of Yliangyou No. 2 was highest, and implementation rate on yield potential of Yangliangyou No. 6 was highest under sowing date influence. The average yield of three mechanized transplanting hybrid indices decreased by 613. 3—646. 7 kg/ha,when the sowing date was delayed 5 days.
