Abstract:In order to verify the feasibility of using municipal sewage sludge compost to cultivate soilless lawn in winter plastic greenhouses, the alkali-grass was cultivated in six different nutrition substrates, the pros and cons of physical and chemical properties, the change of turf-grass germination time, turf appearance quality, root activity and production cycle in the different substrates were analyzed. The results showed that compared with the soil( CK) ,the EC value of the treatment with full amount of peanut shells straw compost sludge substrate(T1) was highest, and it had the latest grass seed germination time and a poor appearance quality of lawn;T2 treatment with only rice husk had a average appearance quality, and its root activity decreased significantly due to lack of adequate nutrients. The treatment with full amount of compost using sawdust as amendment(T3) not only had an appropriate physical and chemical properties, but also had the best appearance quality. The physical and chemical properties of the substrate of sludge compost using peanut shells and straw as amendment mixed with rice bran in equal proportions(T4) and the substrate of sludge compost using sawdust as amendment mixed with rice bran in equal proportions ( T5) were improved, both of them had better visual quality turf grass. The germination time and production cycles of T3,T4 and T5 treatment were not prolonged remarkably, and the root vigor of which increased significantly. Overall,T3 treatment was the most suitable substrate for cultivating alkali-grass soilless lawn in winter,T5,T4 treatment were the next.
