Abstract:The content and distribution of total organic carbon and particulate organic carbon were studied in soil of ten years old high-forest, shrubwood, orchard, artificial grassland and wasteland. The results showed that compared with cultivated land, the total soil organic carbon content of all reafforestation pat-terns increased significantly in 0—20 cm soil layer, the order was shrubwood> wasteland> high-forest>or-chard> grassland, but only which of shrubwood,high-forest and wasteland increased significantly in 20—40 cm soil layer, indicating the effects of shrubwood,high-forest and wasteland on reduction of emission and increase of carbon amount were better. Compared with farmland, the coarse particulate organic carbon contents and rations in total organic carbon increased much larger than fine particulate organic carbon in all reafforestation patterns. Compared with farmland, the soil coarse particulate organic carbon content of all reafforestation patterns increased significantly in 0—20 cm and 40—60 cm soil layer, which of shrub-wood,wasteland and orchard increased significantly in 20—40 cm soil layer. The coarse particulate orga-nic carbon rations in total organic carbon of all reafforestation patterns increased significantly in 0—20 cm, 20—40 cm and 40—60 cm soil layers, the performances of shrubwood, wasteland and orchard were more prominent. The contents of fine particulate organic carbon of all reafforestation patterns increased, and reached the significant levels except grassland in 0—20 cm soil layer, the order was shrubwood> waste-land> high-forest>orchard. The fine particulate organic carbon rations in total organic carbon of all reaf-forestation patterns increased significantly in 20—40 cm soil layer, but only which of shrubwood,waste-land and orchard increased significantly in 40—60 cm soil layer. Overall, the correlation coefficient was larger between total organic carbon content and coarse particulate organic carbon content than that be-tween total organic carbon content and fine particulate organic carbon content in all reafforestation pat-terns. To sum up, the soil coarse particulate organic carbon content could more sensitively reflect the difference of soil carbon pool influenced by different reafforestation patterns.
