Advance in Cold Resistance of Bamboo in China

Abstract：Bamboo is an important landscape plant. The most obstruct in bamboo transplantation from south to north of China is freeze injury caused by low temperature. This paper summarized the progress on cold resistance of bamboo,including morphological indexes and physiological and biochemical indexes of cold resistance for bamboo,investigation and selection of cold resistance bamboo varieties,bamboo cold resistance introduction and cultivation.
