Construction and Analysis of EMS Induced Mutant Library of New Wheat Cultivar Guomai 301

Abstract：Wheat mutants are the basic materials for functional genomics and breeding. The mutant library of Guomai 301 was built by using EMS as chemical mutagen in this study,which laid a foundation for wheat functional genomics research. During the whole growth period after sowing,many biological traits of the mutant lines in M2 generation were observed and recorded. The phenotypic mutation rate in M2 was 6. 398% . Total 769 mutant individuals were obtained. The mutated traits included these of seedling hab-its,leaf,plant height,spike,maturity,grain,etc. The mutant library of Guomai 301 induced with EMS pro-vided new useful germplasms for wheat genetics and breeding.
