Abstract:New antimicrobial peptides replacing traditional antibiotics is a development trend in aquacul-ture in the future. The histone-derived antimicrobial peptides as one of the current research focuses which plays an important role in natural immunity and disease prevention, and is an important class of antimicro-bial peptides in aquatic animals. In this paper, the structure features and antimicrobial effects of four anti-microbial peptides(Oncorhyncin Ⅱ,Buforins,Abhisin and HLP-1) were reviewed. The aim was to pro-vide some references for the further researches on antimicrobial peptides derived from histone and its ap-plication in aquaculture.
