Research Progress on Application of Chinese Herbal Medical Additives to Reduce Harmful Ingredient in Cigarettes

Abstract：The Chinese herbal medicine could be used as a new method to reduce the amount of tar and other harmful substances in the cigarette. This paper reviewed the progress on application of one and com-pound Chinese herbal medical additives to reduce harmful substances in cigarettes,mainly introducing the research status of Glycyrrhiza uralensis and Artemisia argyi. Finally this manuscript also discussed the un-popular reason of Chinese herbal medical additives applied in the cigarette.
