Research on Control Strategies of Millipede

Abstract：Millipedes ( Asiomorpha coarctata) outbreak in many places recently. The control strategies of millipede were researched in laboratory and outdoor. To get the efficient pesticides of millipede,14 kinds of insecticides were determined with dip method. The result showed that isoprocarb,trichlorphon,dursban and cyhalothrin had high toxicity to millipede with the control effect of 100% after four days. The calcined lime powder( CaO) also could kill the millipede quickly. To search for the efficient baits of millipede,the millipedes were fed with 10 kinds of feeds,and snail meat and pork were proved to be efficient. The at-traction effect of six baits on millipede was tested in fields,and the result showed that pork and cabbage leaf could attract millipede significantly. The above-mentioned control strategies of millipede should be used according to the specific situational condition.
