Abstract：In order to further broaden the germplasm resources of CMS lines,Hongmang wild rice was used to cross with C418.Through continuous backcross,the HL-type CMS C418A was bred, which contained the cytoplasmic genes of wild rice and the specific affinity nuclear gene of C418. The C418A not only had the cytoplasm of wild rice which provided a wealth of cytoplasmic genes for species diversity and genetic diversification,but also had the special affinity nuclear gene of C418 which could increase the affinity of two subspecies indica and japonica.It is an excellent germplasm of cytoplasmic male sterile line for hybridization between indica and japonica.The breeding process,main characteristics and key points of high-yield cultivation were introduced.
