Abstract:In order to understand the pollution situation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)in surface sediments of Aha reservoir, the PAHs were detected by accelerated solvent extraction-high performance liquid chromatography method, and the ecological risk of PAHs was assessed by the effects range low(ERL)and effects range median(ERM)approach. The results showed that 15 PAHs were detected among 16 kinds of US EPA priority controlled PAHs.The total concentrations of 15 PAHs varied from 107·6 to 142·1 ng/g,with an average of 119·9 ng/g, and the dominant compositions were low molecular weight PAHs with three rings which were mainly from petroleum pollution.PAHs had a low toxicological risk for environment, but ace compound content was between ERL and ERM,which had potential risk.
